The review
What Terac is
Terac runs paid research studies and expert evaluation tasks for AI work, aimed at professionals such as engineers, clinicians and nurses. Most openings are short studies rather than long contracts, for example "Software Engineers: Paid Code Review for AI Agent Evaluation" or "Dermatologists: Evaluation of AI Diagnostic Outputs". They are published on an Ashby job board at api.ashbyhq.com.
Who it hires
Today this site lists 57 postings marked "Contract" on the board (staff roles are left out). By country the largest groups are: United States 43, Brazil 4, India 3, United Kingdom 2 (8 countries in all). Some studies are posted in German.
Listed pay
Most study descriptions carry a "Compensation" line, and this site reads it: today 55 of 57 postings show a rate, 34 as a one-off amount for the study and 21 per hour. Postings without a readable rate show none.
Countries
Some studies name a market, as the counts above show. Terac's public documents give no country list and no ID or tax requirements.
Payment
Terac's public pages do not state the cash-out method for study pay.
Is Terac legit?
Terac posts its studies on a standard company job board and publishes its policies for experts in its documentation.
Pros
- Short, specialist studies suit people with a professional background.
- Most studies state their pay in the description.
What to watch out for
- Work out what a one-off study amount means per hour before you compare it with hourly roles.
- Most openings are for the United States, so look at the market each study names.
- Check that a study is still open: closed listings can stay online and read "This listing has closed" (Terac sitemap).
On this site
Terac contract roles are read from its public Ashby job board once a day and shown with the rate written in each posting.
