Reviews and complaints
Trustpilot: 1.8 out of 5 from 16 reviews, read on 18 Oct. The company has not asked for reviews recently, so Trustpilot says they may not be representative. Its reviews there are about the consumer app, not about the work. (Trustpilot)

What the xAI AI Tutor roles are
xAI, the AI developer, hires "AI Tutors" directly on its own Greenhouse job board, so every role has one apply link straight to the employer. Most of these roles pay $35 to $45 per hour, and many are for a specific language. In the postings the company name now appears as "SpaceXAI". See the feed at boards-api.greenhouse.io and the company's careers page.
Who it hires
On 2026-10-09 the board held 305 jobs, and 25 were titled "AI Tutor" followed by a domain or a language. Languages included Chinese, Croatian, Finnish, French, German, Hausa, Italian, Khmer, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Spanish, Swedish and Yoruba. Domains included design, humanities, legal and compliance, software engineering, video and writing. There was also an "Expert Team Lead" opening for engineering.

Pay is written in the posting text. As of October 2026, 18 of the 25 AI Tutor postings stated $35 to $45 per hour. Three stated $35 to $75, two $40 to $75, one $50 to $100 and one $40 to $100. One sampled posting gave a US rate first and a separate international rate further down.
