Who runs Mindrift

The footer of the Mindrift site reads "© 2026 Toloka AI BV", and the FAQ links to Toloka's platform terms, so Mindrift appears to run on Toloka's platform. The FAQ does not name a parent company beyond that.

How Mindrift works, by its own FAQ

Two ways in: "all-access" tasks you can start right after you register, with no application and no education or experience requirement; and specialised projects, for which you send a CV, pass assessments and verify your identity. Specialised projects usually call for a relevant degree and professional experience.
Pay: set per project and per task. Each task shows a fixed reward before you start, and more complex work generally pays more. The FAQ gives no hourly rates. Payment is made only for tasks that are completed and accepted.
Payouts: by Payoneer or Tipalti, depending on the withdrawal method you choose. The pay periods run from the 1st to the 15th and from the 16th to the end of the month, and payouts are processed on the 5th and the 20th, moved for weekends and holidays.
Status: independent contractor, not an employee. You can work for other clients and decline projects without penalty.
Hours: none guaranteed, and none required. The FAQ says downtime between projects is possible.
Sensitive content: some projects need you to be 21 or older and cap contributors at two hours per day, with a one-day opt-out.

What workers report

On Trustpilot, mindrift.ai had a TrustScore of 3.5 from 1,115 reviews when we checked on 22 October 2026: 45% gave five stars and 27% gave one star. The praise is for simple tasks, flexible remote work, on-time payments and clear onboarding. The most common complaints are long waits for tasks after onboarding, sometimes weeks; suspended accounts and frozen withdrawals with slow or no human reply; withdrawal fees and minimums; glitches in the AI interviews and assessments; and exam results that reviewers think were scored wrongly. Reviews are self-selected, so read them as a sign of what goes wrong, not as a count.

What to watch out for

Expect waiting. Onboarding is not the same as having work.
Ask which steps are paid. You are paid for accepted tasks, so rejected work earns nothing.
Check the withdrawal terms of Payoneer or Tipalti before you count on the money: fees and minimums are a common complaint.
Keep a record of your tasks, rewards and payout dates.
Do not buy, sell or hand over an account.
Never pay to work. The US Federal Trade Commission advises walking away from anyone who asks for an upfront fee for a job.
