- Address: 136 Madison Avenue, 6th Floor, New York, NY 10016, in the footer of both welocalize.com and welodata.ai.
- Welo Data: a business of Welocalize. Its site refers to "our Welocalize parent", reports more than 500,000 contributors, and describes itself as a managed services partner rather than a self-serve marketplace.
Its own sites publish no ownership or funding figures.
How hiring works
The Welo Data careers page lists the steps:
- Apply to a role on the official job board (its roles are posted on Lever).
- Create a Welo Works account, the platform where you are screened and later work.
- Take a language and cultural assessment, with optional study material.
- Pass a task-related exam.
- Set up payment details once approved.
Pay is "for completed tasks and project work" and varies by task type, complexity and volume. The payment method and frequency are confirmed during onboarding. Most listings we read are marked as contract work; the careers page does not say whether contributors are employees or contractors.
What workers report
On Trustpilot, welocalize.com had 1.3 out of 5 from 98 reviews, and welodata.ai had 2.4 from 6 reviews, when we checked. Both are small, self-selected samples, and Trustpilot notes that Welo Data does not invite reviews.

What to watch out for
- Check the email domain. Welo Data says genuine messages come only from @welocalize.com, @weloglobal.com, @hire.lever.co and @welodata.ai. Scammers copy its name, and its careers page has a form for reporting suspicious messages.
- Never pay. Welo Data says it will never ask you to pay fees, buy equipment, or share sensitive personal information outside its secure platforms.
- Check the job exists. Confirm the role is on the official board and get an official agreement before starting any work, as Welo Data tells applicants to do.
- Ask what a task pays before you start. Most listings give no rate, and some that do list low pay.
