Meridial (36), Welocalize (19) and Mercor (13) have the most open AI training roles that ask for Spanish: 81 roles at 9 platforms on 26 October 2026.

For a Spanish speaker the country on the role usually matters more than the platform. A role for Spanish in Mexico asks for a speaker from Mexico, and a role for Spain asks for one from Spain, so read the country before you read the rate.

Platforms are in order of roles in Spanish, then by name. The second number is how many of those roles list an hourly rate in US dollars, and the third is the median of those rates. A platform with fewer than 5 such rates shows "too few rates" instead of a median, because a middle value of three or four roles says little.

The median listed hourly rate for Spanish roles was $40 on 34 rates.

What the work is

A role that asks for Spanish can be language work: rating and correcting AI answers, writing prompts and model answers, transcribing audio, recording your voice or checking translations. Some roles also want a dialect, a subject such as science, law or coding, or knowledge of local culture. Our guide to AI training jobs by language describes the work in more detail.

Rates differ by field. Across all languages, the roles in the languages field listed a median of $22.50 an hour, against $110 in law and $100 in medicine. If you have a degree or a licence, look at roles that ask for Spanish together with your field.

Spanish roles name a country

Some titles write the variant in brackets, for example Spanish (Mexico) or Spanish (Argentina), because the platform wants a speaker of that variant. The table of which platforms accept which countries shows how each platform writes it.

Spanish is only one way to find work from Latin America. 587 roles in any language, at 15 platforms, are open to someone working from Mexico on 26 October 2026. A role counts as open to a country when its posting names that country or says worldwide, and a posting that names no country is not counted. For other countries, see remote AI training roles by country.

Where to look next

What to watch out for

  • Some platforms check your country again when you apply, even when the posting says worldwide.
  • The number of roles is a snapshot. Roles open and close every day, and a platform with many roles today can have few next week.
  • The listed rate is the posting's. What you earn depends on the hours a project offers and on passing the platform's tests.
  • Never pay to join. The US FTC advises walking away from anyone who asks for an upfront fee for a job (consumer.ftc.gov, job scams, read October 2026).

How we count

A role counts for a language when its posting names that work language. A role that names two languages counts in both. Platforms are ordered by number of roles, then by name. Each role counts once, at the middle of its listed hourly range in US dollars. A role that lists only a maximum counts at that maximum, and company-wide ranges that are not the pay of a role are left out. Method: AI Training Pay Index. In Spanish: qué es el entrenamiento de IA.

Prepare the interview: practice questions for each kind of role.
